roo or hen

Aside from the comb and the wattle focus on the hackle and saddle feathers and observe for pointy ones. If they are, most likely they are boys. I can't tell from the photos but would guess both pullets at this time.

You have a rooster, 100%. Males have more white in their barring. Females have more black in their barring.

I have a pair of BR's that are 12 weeks. Your Duke definitely looks like a roo, as mentioned new2chooks so nice demonstrated.

I also have three Australorp pullets, also 12 weeks. Comparing mine to yours I'd say pullet.

I have heard of hens that act like roos, roos that develop slower, hens that develop faster....I think the "wait until you hear crowing or see an egg" adage is the only SURE way to know

ok, yeah im thinking dukes a roo.... I just took pics of him and ill post them in a bit, my camera just died i have a charge it... and I took the pics because it looks like hes getting saddle feathers
