This chicken is about 8 weeks old?? and it has not bonded with my RIR. AND, it also is a little skittish with me. Help!!!! Is it a roo?

It's REALLY hard to tell from your photos, but just from the color of the comb I'd guess pullet. The combs of most roosters have turned quite red by 8 weeks, but the photo looks like the comb is still small and yellow-ish. Is it a black sex link? If so, then it's definitely a girl.

Thank you so much. I have the jitters b/c we are not allowed roos and I've had them before and caused all sorts of problems. Why is he/she not bonding with the other hen? The other hen is real bossy and in fact is the alpha over my dogs. Could that be why? Also her tippy tail feathers are a little curvy. Does that mean anything? Yes, she is a sex link.

Hens can have a slight curve to the top tail feathers, that's not unusual. A lot of curve does point to a roo, yes. But black sex link roos are barred, so if she's truly a black sex link, she couldn't be a boy. :)

Do you mean more than one? Thanks you guys. She's a little skittish like the mistake roos I had earlier. When will she start bonding with the other chicken? My RIR was very jealous when I got her and still is, but not so much. Thank you for all of your help.

It can often take quite a while, how old is you other hen? If she is over two weeks older, that's your reason, older birds do not bond well with younger birds, you will probably have to wait for the sex link to get to the same size as the RIR before they will really get along.
