I’ve only raised ISA browns and barred rocks for the past 2 years. However this spring at the feed store I spotted some Easter egger and Sapphire Olive egger chicks and couldn’t resist.

Now I’m not sure who is who and one I suspect to be a possible rooster. There is a large red Easter egger with a big ol tuft, it has beenMUCH larger than the other from the start. Currently 10 weeks old now. Thoughts?

Also, this black hen.. Easter egger or olive egger?

Thank you ☺️

gray bird to the left is a cockerel, and the two with waddles are cockerels. Black one has white lobes which is usually a sign of white eggs but it could be an olive egger.
Oh lord have mercy. You mean to tell me 3 of the 4 are cockerels?! I was supposed to have 2 sapphire olive egger pullets and 2 Easter egger pullets.. that’s what I get for feed store chicks I suppose.

I’m on the fence with most of these actually. Can you get individual photos of each bird from the side?🤔
The gray one with brown coloring on the left may very well be female. The brown coloring seems to be uniform and not just on the shoulders.
The larger red one is likely your only cockerel as far as I can tell. More photos would be helpful. More opinions from others would be as well.😊

The gray one on the left could be a pullet since I don't see waddles or comb. Red shoulders usually means male but it could just be the pattern.

Regarding your question about the black one, it is hard to say if it’s an Easter Egger or an Olive Egger since technically an Olive Egger is a kind of Easter Egger. Traditionally an Olive Egger is a hybrid between a dark brown egg laying breed and a blue egg laying breed. Guess you’ll know when she starts laying!😊
