I can’t keep him.The feathers on the neck - shiny, and pointed. The comb and wattles bright red much earlier than the pullets, the crow and behavior. Often times these birds appear friendly and forward. I would be pleased that he is a bit skittish, and keeping his distance, and encourage that if you are planning on keeping him.
Truthfully though, if I ever think, 'wait, is that a rooster?' He is.
