Roo or Pullet Barred Rock?

He/she is 10ish weeks old. We thought she was a girl but now not sure. This is our only BR so can't compare to any others for color. Very sweet and mild mannered but has squared off with the bully chicken we have. Help! My kids really don't want to eat this one but we can't have any roosters in town.

There’s legitimately nothing female at all about that bird.
There is no doubt that it’s male.

Agree, this bird is male, double barring gives it the more white color and comb/wattles are all boy.

Girl BRs at that age should have tiny yellow-pink combs, slim legs and bodies, and dark pattern.
