I don't have any experience with the Marans breed, but I keep looking at the hackle feathers and they seem more rounded than narrow and pointed, which leads me to think that maybe it could be a pullet with a fast growing comb.
If it were mine, I would hold off a bit longer before re-homing, just to be sure.

The feather differences that come with gender really aren't apparent at this point - the hackle and saddle feathers would be coming in over the next few weeks. It isn't about the size of the comb (ie fast growing), but the color as well.
