All my chickens, 3 roos (one about 3 years old and his two half grown sons) and about 20 hens free range. They come & go around my 16 aces and sleep in my barn with the 6 horses. My oldest roo was beaten up by his own half grown son a few days ago. When I found Jr, he was huddled at my back steps, hidding. He was beaten and bloody. I took him, cleaned him up somewhat and placed him in a large cage in the barn. I put ointment on his wounds, filled the water with antiobiotics and made sure he had plenty of food. He stayed there a couple days. When I checked on him, opening the door to the cage, he jumped out and ran. I was not able to catch him as his two sons were chasing him. I didn't find him again until yesterday evening. Oh, what a sorry sight he was. He has terrible wounds about the back of his head, and it looks like his comb is severely frost bitten. All black & sorta crisp like over fried bacon. The wheather conditions here in NW Ga has been rather cold the past few days. At least 16 with a wind chill making it below 10 at night. Much too cold for a injured roo to be out. I took him into the house, moved the cage into the sun room, turned the heat up, wrapped him in a towel so I could handle him without harm to either of us. Not that he would have actually made a fuss since he seemed to be in shock. I offered him water with vitimens in it, and it seemed like his vision is impaired, he made stabbing like motions in attempting to drink. I also got him to eat some "baby parrot" formulia that was very thin in consistency.
Now I have him resting comfortably on clean bed of hay in the cage. He doesn't look too good, but I have some soft scrambled eggs w/ baby parrot fortified formulia in it and finely chopped weinie in his cage along with regular chicken food. He hasn't made an effort to eat, but I have it there in case.
So, first, what should I be going for his comb?
Other than an ABT and asprine, what can I give for his pain?

Rooster, about 3 years old or older. Weight, well he must be about 5 pounds
2) What is the behavior, exactly.
Badly beaten by younger roos, and severe frost bite to comb and head. His head is swollen, back of head has no feathers, eyes swollen almost shut.
3) How long has the bird been exhibiting symptoms?
recent, 2-3 days
4) Is there any bleeding, injury, broken bones or other sign of trauma.
Yes, blood dried all over his head & neck. The tip of his upper beak is broken
5) What happened, if anything that you know of, that may have caused the situation.

6) What has the bird been eating and drinking, if at all.
Drinking when offered like was was very thirsty
7) How does the poop look? Normal? Bloody? Runny? etc.

8) What has been the treatment you have administered so far?
Poly Vi Sol in food and water
Parrot baby formulia which is fortified with vitimens
asprin in 1 gallon water
9 ) What is your intent as far as treatment? For example, do you want to treat completely yourself, or do you need help in stabilizing the bird til you can get to a vet?
I'd prefer to treat myself .

11) Describe the housing/bedding in use
Currently in large cage, in heated sun room in house. Cage is deeply beded in clean hay, has smaller box in cage for hidey hole, and a perch if he feels like sitting up there.
