It was a hot summer day and the chickens were free-ranging in the once-pretty gardens. Shadow, our head rooster, was keeping a watchfull eye on Chibi, our other rooster, a RIR. Poor Chibs sat on the porch and watched. He must have noticed the door was open and walked inside. Since he has done it once after, we know he was making the "i have somthing that looks cool!" chatter of a rooster, his favrot for stealing the girls away from Shadow. "Look at this! OMG!" He called. The hens came running and they must have had a free-ranging party in the house, looking at the poo lined floor. So, we come home and clean up the house, rembering to NEVER leave the door open. But the biggest supprize is still waiting.
A 10 year old boy walks into his room.. only to find a big red rooster sitting on his bed.
Chibs was raised a half-house pet untill he crowed. Then he got sent out to live in the coop.
