Roo with a Tude

Quote:
Our neighbor did this with her aggressive Gold Comet roo. Whenever he attacked her, she scooped him up, cuddled and fawned over him, gave him hugs and carried him around while she did the chores, not putting him down until he stopped struggling after her "Gentle" verbal command. He now hides when she comes in.

I LOVE all the various suggestions and taming techniques. In hindsight, if I'd known I was going to keep him I would have done things differently, but as many of you have said, all roos have tudes, just in various degrees. I understand that perfectly. Let me tell you tho, there is NO WAY I am going to pick that big sucker up..so what I did last night was seperate him from his girls and put in him in the smaller room of the coop, used my metal whip to *round pen * him ( a method of training horses that involves having them go around you in circles till they get it that you are in charge of them) and boy did he learn fast that I meant business. Having said that, I will keep in mind that this will be ongoing till he is SURE that I took over the flock
