That comb is awfully pink for 8 weeks, but then again there's no red on its wings. I'll tentatively vote roo. Please post some pics in a couple weeks!

Yep, that's a boy. Flew under the radar for a while, but he's developing some nice red for his saddle feathers that'll come in soon.

Oh he is a beautiful roo. Getting in his Saddle and Hackle feathers. If you look close he has a pale red splash on his shoulders, EE Roo's have Red on their shoulders.

i'm not seeing any red any wheres....looks like a cockerel in about 3 more weeks you should be able to see some pointed saddles coming in and the hackles should also start to change

Whooo. so far I like what I'm hearing. haven't had a rooster for years now ever since I started my new flock.

One quick question though, as I'm learning more and more about chickens, can some please explain to me where exactly are the saddles and hackles?

I think I know where.. but just in case I don't. Thanks!
