room temperature for letting quail eggs rest

Howdy, :frow and Welcome to Backyard Chickens.

Happy :ya to have you here with us. Enjoy your time here at BYC!

How warm was it for the eggs while being shipped? If it was as warm as your incubation room, then those eggs are already starting to develop, letting them rest in a cool room will most likely kill the embryos...it would be better to put them in the incubator immediately, with the turner off to let them rest.

Hello hello...Welcome to BYC. What kind of quail are you hatching? Im still learning through trial and error. I have learned that hatching quail is more like hatching bird eggs. I always try 2 keep in mind their natural habitat and what they might do if they were still wild game birds. Happy hatching. Best of luck",((",:

Greetings Fellow Bird Lovers! :) I'm Jean and am incubating my first batch of quail eggs received through the mail. Here is my question-the eggs just arrived in the mail today and I am choosing to let them rest for 24 hours. My incubation room is a toasty 78 degrees and the incubators are warming. Should I let my quail eggs rest in the incubation room or in the another room at 68 degrees? Thanks for your insights!
Welcome to BYC!!
