Roos or keepers? I live in town....

yeppers....we were all he's a rooster! for months with no crowing...then I post here asking is it possible he is a she and the word was yes, she could be a she, then we noticed the spurs growing.....then not long after posting that then the crowing..so mystery resolved? he is a he! unless that egg out there came from her.....

Quite a few folks seem to believe a bird of X age that hasn't crowed = female but that is definitely not the case. I've seen firsthand a rooster that didn't crow until after 6 months of age when he was already very obviously male by his appearance.
