Still better than the Buff Orps that were actually poults. At least yours were chickens.

They were a little close. They are a mix with RIRs and now have red on then but yeah, they were still wrong.

My tractor supply once had ducks listed as australorps. Now I know nothing about ducks but I know what they look like and they were definitely ducks.

I wouldn't put any faith at all in the labels or the employees. That goes for all farm stores. Know what you're looking for when you go in. That way you know what you're looking at when you're there.

Very much agree. About the same as ordering a mystery box at a hatchery I just feel bad for the poor people who think they're buying sexed pullets and can't even keep roosters and end up with a ton of them

Yeah well, they were both boys and I had to rehome them. At least they weren’t hard to get rid of!
