Roost and root

My old coop came from that company (back when they went under a different name). They're pretty solid (all cedar) and the customer service was excellent - I broke a piece during assembly and asked to buy a replacement, but they sent the replacement at no cost - but they aree expensive for what they are. I don't agree with all the design choices on them, so you may need to be willing to make some changes to the design yourself. Like for mine I removed the nest box and expanded the roost across the space, and I took out the PVC feeder that came with it because feed was just clogging up and molding in there.

Hello! I have this coop and LOVE LOVE LOVE it! I have 11 hens and they all do just fine in this coop and are just fine on the roost. I did build an addition so they could have more room if they needed to be contained (otherwise mine free range) and they are all perfectly fine. I got lots of feedback about it not being enough room and etc. but as mine can be out running around I wasn’t concerned. Something you may wish to consider.
Is it expensive? Yes, it is but the quality of this product is excellent. It was very easy to put together and looks really nice on our property. My hens are safe and my chicken area is something I am proud of. Roost and Root customer service is excellent too. You will actually speak with the owners if you have questions.
Happy to help answer any other questions you have about this coop (like, how to build a secure, hardware cloth frame for it to sit on!) or their company. (We also bought one of their greenhouses this spring). I am not getting any $$ for recommending them. 😂

We have the Roost and Root round top walk-in coop and love it! We also purchased their duck coop this year, and it is working so good. Their products are expensive, but the quality is great. We do try and keep a tidy place where we are, and their products look great too. Our next purchase will be their greenhouse. Customer service is also great, and that in itself is worth a lot.

@srhalford - we got their greenhouse as part of their early adopter program - it's awesome! Will be a welcome spot in the middle of January here when temps are in the single digits/teens. I plan to bring a radio and a glass of wine out there on a sunny day and dream of warmer weather.

What size is the welded wire? I can't find anything on their site?

Just to be abundantly clear, I'm asking if anyone has ever gotten one of these, not for alternative suggestions. Like I said in my post, I have a coop that works well. Just doing a little pre-planning for when it needs to be replaced.
I have a friend with a Roost and Root coop and is very happy with the quality.
