I hit any rough spots and sharp edges with a sander with coarse(60-80grit)paper.Awesome. I appreciate all of the guidance and advice. I'll block off nesting boxes tonight, and fix that ramp. I like your idea of propping up lower end, to lessen angle.
It is rough, which was intentional for better gripping with their toenails, but I didn't understand it could injure them! I'll plane it smooth tonight, and find a way to prop it up.

It's the cleats that give them the best grip IMO....looks like you're good there.
Some folks use grip tape, like on a skateboard, or all kinds of other things...but some of those can be hard to clean.
I like a plain board with cleats, easy to scrape off when I do 'clean' them... once in a great while.
