Roost/ Poop ideas?

I am brand new, and just moved my girls into their coop. It may sound silly, but I'm wondering if there is a way to coax the hens to all sit on the roost in one direction. I hoped to put a poop board or clean-out tray under the back side, but I get two lines of poop instead of one.

I just made mine wide enough to catch both sides no matter which way they face. I don't think there is any way to make them all face one direction. They will face the other way often to avoid getting pecked by someone else.

Poop shelf wide enough here too, to catch everything. What a difference in coop cleanliness after I added it, compared to not having a catcher! Any way to make it wide enough to catch everything?

Just added peel and stick tiles to the poop boards. They are 16" wide. They catch most of the poop. And the girls face both ways. Hopefully pdz + the tiles will make scooping even easier. I put about 1/2" of pdz in the tray.

We used a pond liner. Just cut it to fit the poop deck. Then I put sand and pdz on the liner. The only drawback is that the girls live to dig down and move the liner... Really not a big deal as the sand and pdz dry everything out anyway. They just seem to think it’s fun to scratch at the liner.
