Roost Question

How mant full size chickens can I fit on two 45 inch roost's? They only weigh about 5-6 pounds.

Probably 4 per 45" roost, unless they're obese. Then they'd take up more room, and would squabble more about the lack of space. Also, (((OBESE))) chickens tend to be crankier

You need between 8-12" per chicken, depending partly on breed and partly on how friendly they are; it is not a bad idea to have a bit more room than *that*, in case there is one or more who are not allowed to sit with the others, or choose not to.

On that basis, a 45" roosts would fit 4-5 chickens. Times two, 8-10. Ish.
