Put a board of equal width along the top of box's at a 45 degree angle so they can not get on the box's, just lean it against the wallMine don't seem to roost they all sleep together on top of the nest boxes
The main reason is that if they were to get out of your coop, for any reason, if they aren't used to roosting,they will bed down on the ground and be exposed to predator attack, giving you no chance to find and save them, but if they roost, which is natural for chickens, they would find a place off the ground to sleep and be safe from an attack, allowing you more time to recover them.Why is it not good for them not to roost?
I will have 8 pullets as well. I like your set up! How wide is your poop board? How far apart are the roosts?
