i was just outside putting the chickens back into their run and noticed that my rooster’s wings seem a little lower than normal.

he’s behaving like his usual self, scratching, flapping his wings, dust bathing, eating and drinking. but they just seem a little droopy to me.

anything to be concerned about? i’ll attach a picture, but i realize that it’s not much use without a comparison photo.

How old is he? So, both wings are hanging low? Do you have other roosters? Could he be a little dehydrated? Was he vaccinated for Mareks? I am not sure what is going on, but hopefully others will offer advice.

he’s about 18 months old. and he’s our only rooster. we buy all of our birds vaccinated.

they have plenty of water both in their run and in the chicken yard.

Did you check to see if he was growing in any new pin feathers on his wings? The new feathers can be heavy when they first start growing in.
