I thought I had 4 pullets, one turns out to be a rooster.
Son and daughter want to experience the baby chick thing once before separating the rooster.
If we do decide to keep the rooster, will ALL of the eggs be fertile?
or will I have to candle them all, will the hens lay on them instead of laying more eggs?
I have no idea how this process will work, and im looking for some advice.
we mainly wanted fresh eggs, and kids backyard pets.
we can give the rooster to a freind with more space IF he gets mean, so far he is very gentle and freindly though.
thanks in advance for any advice!
