Rooster acting very weird

I fed all of the roosters some food, and gave them some electrolytes, they are much perkier now, so I’m thinking it was the cold, but the rooster with the worst symptoms is now having a lot of brown diarrhea.

Is he drinking enough water? Try to mix a little plain yogurt in his feed tomorrow for probiotics. How old is he? If coccidiosis may be a problem, you could get some Corid from the feed store or sulfa antibiotic from a vet, and start him on that.

He is now, I’ve been giving him (and the others) water and a little bowl of Gatorade for electrolytes, they have all seemed to perk up, but still seem sort of sick. They are all 8 months. I’ll try the yogurt tomorrow! Okay!
I was not able to find my heat bulb, so I brought them all inside for the night, until I can purchase one tomorrow.

Once they are feeling better and look healthy enough to go back outside you are going to have to acclimate them to the outside temperatures so that they don’t go into shock when exposed to them.

wow, I just learned a lot about this! I always wanted a bantam, until i learned they can get sick or really cod in the bad, cold weather! too much work for me!

I’ve had bantams through the winter and they have done absolutely fine.

What's the protein content of the food?...Heat will help.Cold Birds get stiff..
