Rooster age

How old does the rooster have to be to fertilize the hen. I got my chickens in april and they just started laying. i want to know if they will be fertile yet or is the rooster not old enough.

It all depends on the rooster, watch them from a while and see if your rooster mounts any of the hens and you will know if hes doing his job

You may not see your rooster 'doing his job', I've never seen mine mate a hen, but I have 10 of his babies so I know he's doing it.
You can, however, check the eggs to see if they are fertile. If you don't know what a fertile egg looks like, you can see pictures and descriptions here:
