Since getting into chickens I have been interested in making some capons. Having not done it before I decided to wait until after I had harvested several roosters and studied their anatomy. Tonight I cleaned my first roosters and studied their anatomy. The heart, lungs, liver, gizzard were easily identifiable. I then went on to identify the caeca and the kidneys based on Internet searches and some helpful diagrams. What I was looking to identify are the testicles since those would be the target of any caponizing. I did locate 2 rather large white orbs attached to ribbed tubes heading back to the vent. Since I ruled out kidneys I believe that I have them identified.

I didn't embed the image. But can someone knowledgeable advise if these are the testicles? If so, I thought that they were large even though these were 4 month old birds and were very aggressive.
