I have 2 ducks one is a male the other a female. (We didn't get a pair on purpose it just worked out that way

Anyway I also have 20 hens and a rooster. Ever since they have matured they have not been getting along very well. The rooster will chase the ducks and try to hurt Poncho(the male) They are able to take sanctuary in the pond we have for them.
We think Lefty(the female) is close to laying her first egg. But I'm concerned with the rooster harassing them like this that she'll get too stressed. Plus we don't want either of them to get hurt.
Is there anything we can do to stop the rooster outside of building the ducks a mote?

Separation. I have a rooster that will stand his ground with my Muscovy drakes, he is game/bantam he even intimidates our gander but they have never come to blows. once I did see the drake and roo act like they were going to fight my roo probably spurred the drake. but they pretty much coexist with out much fanfare. If your roo is making your ducks life miserable then separation is about the only thing you can do short of getting rid of one or the other.
