rooster and eggs

Have read that most folks think you require roosters for hens to lay eggs. Not true. My new neighbors have at least 6 roosters that start up at 4am and don't stop till sunset. All parcels in this part of Calaveras county are 5 acres of more. Wife and I are in 70s and we used to sleep with windows open in summer. The constant crowing has become unbearable and driving us crazy. We are in a small valley so the screaming rooster noise echos like an amplifier. WHAT CAN WE DO

sorry for the circumstances. Have you shared your concerns with the neighbors? That would be my first step.

Roosters aren't necessary for egg laying, or for anything besides fertile eggs. Nicely ask your neighbors about it. Maybe they don't realize it's annoying.
