Three different roosters come to mind. First one went straight back and gave the appearance of curving down, but I think that was because they tapered from the top. It was big, like as long as the toes. Three inches. I remember it in relation to the bird, yeah. it's not like they ever let me measure them. The second set came out more to the side and were angled down and kind of curved down and away. I recall thinking they must of touched the ground when the bird walked. The third set was much like the second, but didn't angle down as much and had a more pronounced curve. I don't see anything like that these days.

However accurate or inaccurate my recolection, I can say for sure that each of them was able to get you with the spur. When I see them these days, it doesn't seem like that could happen or at least not to the degree I remember it.

There was certainly no brush them aside with boom. If that was your plan, you'd better break off the handle and be all Jedi knight trained; pull out some Obi Wan moves. It was a much better bet to go with that Jedi dash.

Actually, from what you describe, it's good advice. If you can't (and I don't think I could either), then sell him to someone who will. If you still can't do that, try to find someone that wants an aggressive rooster. He sounds too dangerous to keep around.

Just curious, are you a vegetarian?

If my rooster is ever aggressive, which is almost never, I hold him upside down by his legs until he calms down. It doesn't hurt him and it he always backs off after. I've never gotten hurt by him or even flogged, but he has charged at me a few times. I definitely think he respects me now because he hasn't tried it in a long time.
