Rooster attacked by a predator!

My rooster was attacked by a predator and his comb and top part of the face is hardly attached!!! Poor rooster, what should I do??

It is hard to tell from your description how bad the injury is. Does it look as though it needs stitches to keep it together? Are his eyes ok?

First, stop the bleeding. Pressure and cold can help with that. Second, evaluate the injury. If you think it needs stitches, you'll need to take him to a veterinarian or figure out how to do it yourself, or whether you just want to put him out of his misery. Isolate him someplace you can keep him clean and keep an eye on him.

My hen got attacked by a raccoon badly a few weeks ago. I didn't think she was going to live. Only a few weeks later, and she is doing great. Make sure you keep the wound clean so maggots don't get in it. Keep the rooster by itself. Post pics if you can so we can tell how bad it is.
