hello everyone. My sick rooster, which I shared the other day, died, an autopsy was performed today, but the vet said that he did not understand what it was. I wonder if any of you know about this disease. The dying rooster had constant diarrhea and weakened with each passing day and eventually died.

Nothing jumps out at me as being abnormal with his insides in this picture. However, if I'm seeing the picture correctly, he was severely underweight as evidenced by his lack of breast tissue.

So sorry you lost your rooster. :(

If you have this problem again or lose another bird for whatever reason, you can send your bird to a state veterinary lab which are experienced in doing autopsies on chickens. Refrigerate your bird (NOT freeze), and follow shipping instructions for your nearest lab.

I'm sad too. Thank you. I shared it here to find out what this disease is because if I have a chicken with diarrhea again, I want to apply the right treatment. Treatments for this dead rooster were unsuccessful and I could not stop the diarrhea. I hope someone knows

Sorry for your loss. Did the vet do a fecal float for parasites (coccidiosis, worms,) or a gram stain to look for enteritis? I don’t really have any idea on the appearance, but some of the bowel looks pale and puffy, while the lower part looks pink and has good circulation. Most of us are amateurs at necropsies, and your state vet can do better with a diagnosis. Including more of the other organs in your pictures can help as well.
