rooster behavior?

my rooster will walk around and then just squat in place like hes just sitting there?? what is he doing?

Is he making the "I found a treat" sound? Mine will do that occasionally - he finds a slightly sheltered spot and crouches down, then calls the hens. Not sure exactly what his thought process is for that, but I'm sure he's plotting something. ;-)
