Araucanas don't have beards. The British ones do though.

Back in the day most people called Easter eggers Araucanas. I remember reading the SOP for the first time and being kind of annoyed to read that standard Araucanas had no beards or tails, but it is true. But Araucana is still the name many use for what we now call Easter eggers.

I like to refer Easter Eggers as Pre-Ameraucanas due to their complicated history.

He's Blue Partridge in color. Common with Easter Eggers. Not Brown Red(Birchen) Ameraucana.

Yes, the Brit and Aussie versions of Araucanas are completely different. American Araucanas should be close to the original South American birds. I think Collanca is what it is called there.

Is that British/European blue?
Looks black to me.
