Buff Orpington! My big boy is good with his lady’s and people. But very much protective against intruders. Good luck whatever you decide.I am thinking about getting a rooster this spring along with 12 new pullets, but I just don't know what breed to get. I want something not too aggressive but not too docile. I was thinking about a welsummer, does anyone have any ideas.
I personally believe roosters are what you put into them patience’s love and time. Oh did I mention time.View attachment 1239034 View attachment 1239036
I agree. As said game roosters are not aggressive and mean as alot of people think. That's misinformation passed on by people that have never had the joy to raise such fine fowl.
I do like orpingtons, my buff orpington hen is a sweetheart.Buff Orpington! My big boy is good with his lady’s and people. But very much protective against intruders. Good luck whatever you decide.
I love my Australorp hen. If my target niche for business wasn't colored egg layers, I would have 100% Aussies.thank you to everyone, as I look into it more I think an australorp might be a good breed. thanks again!
I have a total of seven hens of which three are Orpingtons. One Orpington Rooster named Butterscotch aka baby rooster. He’s my avatar. Lovely birds.I do like orpingtons, my buff orpington hen is a sweetheart.
