She may just expel the semen after mating.Hi there I have the same problem my rooster is mating my hens and I have quite a few chicks from him but my one hen's eggs just aren't becoming fertile.
I've hatched a few of her eggs so I know there is nothing wrong with her reproduction organs but the past few months she and the rooster have been mating but none of the eggs develop.
And it's also not the roo because I stil find fertile eggs from some of my other hens just not her.
Is there anything i can do to help. She may just expel the semen after mating.
When a hen does not like the rooster or is forced to mate she can expel the semen with a squirt.
You could get her a different rooster, but there is no guarantee that she will accept him unless she is able to choose the one she likes best.Is there anything i can do to help.
I realy want a few more of her chicks
