Rooster can't stand up

Well up until a few days ago all was going well. After the message above I noticed the scales were raised so I got treatment from the vet. 2 weeks has passed the legs are smooth and the mark on the comb is going. The comb still really red. Maurice has been kept on his own.
But 2 days ago I noticed he had started to limp and he is not eating or drinking as much.
He lets me pick him up with no struggle. He feels thinner.
So, I think he maybe on his way out. Not sure whether to give another batch of antibiotics.

So sorry to hear about Maurice. Are you leaning toward this being Mareks disease? There are all sorts of possible chicken diseases. But if you have tried the usual foods to bribe him to eat (cooked egg, tuna, wet chicken feed, canned cat food,) then tube feeding might be considered. Let us know how he gets along.

Sorry about Maurice. It sounds like you are doing a good job and are receiving sound advice from Eggcessive. I would definitely try a variety of bribe foods to stimulate his appetite. If he has been removed from the hens completely, might he be depressed? Or are you really sure he was trying to get away? Can you put him in a dog crate with his flock so he can still be with them, but they can't touch him?
