Also, any idea where I could get Nutridrench? Or is there any substitute? We just gave him some vitamin E with some oats. It's worth trying it at the moment. I'd hate to lose him.

As a side note, although we keep the roosters separate, we switch them around so that one group gets let out into our garden and then another. They all get access to fresh grass and stuff. We haven't had any problems for about two years now.

Any farm store should have Nutridrench.

I really doubt that your 1 year old self hatched chickens would have given him Mareks. I just suggested that as a possibility, but it sounds more like that is not the problem. Since you keep the roosters separate, bullying (and keeping him from food) may not be the problem. Most feed stores and Tractor Supply sell vitamins and electrolytes. Electrolytes shouldn’t be used more than a few days. If he is drinking enough now, then I might just get some vitamin B complex tablets (not B12, but Bcomplex) at the store or phatmacy. Crush half a tablet daily and give it in some chopped egg or wet chicken feed. Those have all B vitamins and may give a boost. Continue your vitamin E as well. It sounds like you have done a good job taking care of your chickens, and hopefully he will get over this.

I've been reading up....what does anyone think of it possibly being bumblefoot? I had thought he had it a while ago but I wasn't sure....

Also when it happened we tried to see if the vet would do the operation if he did have it and he wouldn't. They apparently don't deal with chickens. So I'm kind of panicking here as there's no way I can do it myself, and I can't stand seeing him getting worse. He's about the same today but it's distressing seeing him like this.

If it is bumblefoot it is fairly easy to remove the infection plug yourself. I've never done it but I've watched videos and seems easy. Eggcessive could probably guide you through it as well.
I too am frustrated with having no vet within a 2 hour radius who will see a chicken. Especially in this large farming community.
