Rooster Chat

My Polish roo still babys my 5 month old 3 pound EE pullet! LOL

I'd love to have a rooster, but for a backyard situation, I do not want one that is loud because the neighbors might complain. Is there a rooster that is less noisy?
Some bantams are a bit quieter, especially ones like d'uccle, who don't have a large lung capacity.

I keep a few bantam rooster with my large breed flock. They do fine. Most small roosters have attitude, and I've had them chase off larger roosters.

Those roosters must have the Napoleon complex. hahaha I have a cat like that, he goes around slapping big tomcats and raccoons, but he's a pipsqueak.
I have a sweet Silkie Roo,named Larry...he crows, but it isn't as penetrating as some of the other medium sized Roosters...actually he sounds like he's got a bad case of laryngitis! Most people can't help but laugh, when they hear him! It's hilarious! And my hens seem to like him. I've never seen any of them put the run on him. And he's such a handsome fuzzy boy!...(I think he is anyway) He's fathered some beautiful mutts! And he is never aggressive to me.

I have a Sebright rooster that is pretty tiny but bosses my peafowl around. He does have a very screechy, voice in a tin can sounding crow, though, so probably not the best bantam breed to get.
