Rooster comb problem

Hey I posted here yesterday concerning my roosters earlobe injury. Now that that's healing, I noticed that the back half of his comb has turned bluish purple. It can't be frostbite because this is Florida and it never gets cold here. Any ideas?

He also has a very large crack on the tip of his break. It's giving him difficulty while eating.

Sometimes in large-combed roosters the back part and tips may turn dark due to circulation. It may happen at different times. It's fairly normal as long as the rest of the comb is good and red. Can you post a pic of the beak? Here is a good link to read about cracks in beaks:

Here's his beak. It didn't bleed but its giving him trouble eating.

I have not treated a beak injury, but to help him eat, I would soften some of his feed with a lot of water, stir it, and put it in a bowl so he can get it. You can give him a baby aspirin 81mg twice a day into his beak or in his food or water for pain.
