Just saw this post and happened to get a pic of my manly Cuckoo Marans roo today!

(We're totally smoked in right now, having been evacuated for days by fire a couple of weeks ago, and now we're surrounded by the Northern California wildfires. The air is a bit "thick" so sorry about the quality.)

This is Frizzle, one of our newest additions. He's a youngster, not quite all filled out yet, looks like he'll be a beauty!

I'm so glad I'm not one of the judges. There really are some beautiful roos in this thread. Love the ruffly guy.

Saw some mille fleur d'uccles on here and can't help but ask, off topic, how you like them. I really want some. So purty!

An everyone: truly gorgeous gentlemen all around.

I have never seen a frizzled Mille Fleur D'ucle before. I would like to produce frizzled mille fleur cochins some day. i think it looks exceptional with the white tips! Thanks for sharing. Stay safe, hope your animals do okay.

I have a three Mille Fleur teens and an older hen (besides my little frizzly roo guy) and I must say I find them to be some of the neatest little birds. They arent "affectionate" but they are very in tune to my presence in the yard - they follow me around pretty closely and actually "talk" almost like a duck! They seem sharper than some, and they stay very small, at least mine are. I highly recommend them as eye candy with big personality - just not "lap chickens", although they could be!
