Rooster covering hens but no eggs

I know you don't new a rooster. In most animals if they are mating then they are capable of reproduction. Meaning the hen should be making eggs to be fertilized. It just seemed odd that they were mating without egg production.

Depending on your roosters personalities and behaviors 2 roosters with 5 hens isn't always such a horrible thing. I had 2 roosters with 4 hens and they do just fine, better than fine actually. Then hens are never beat up and always act happy and normal scratching around and laying eggs everyday. I have 4 roosters total and 24 hens, they have a huge fenced in yard to run around in and everyone minds their own business. I got lucky that they all get along but if they didn't have the big space I don't think that would be the case all the time. So just watch your hens and roosters interactions and see what you think, you're the only one who can decide if you need to do something. Not every rooster is the same.

We live on 15 acres in the country so they have plenty of room. Finally looks like they are getting the picture.
