Rooster Crow A lot In Morning

Saaniya keeps her roosters in her home. It's like having a small rooster flock of two.
She takes very good care of them from what I have seen in her posts. So, I doubt she is considering re-homing.

@Saaniya Maybe look into the no crow collar. It might be the best for your situation. :hugs

try a no-crow collar, you can make one and don't just put them in the dark, they have to be in a sleepy box, where they cannot stretch their necks or walk around. then let them out at a reasonable hr. Good luck!

Then she needs some hens. Having hens around Is the only thing that can calm an unhappy rooster. They are literally craving for female companions

I have heard of people keeping them (only at night to stop the nighttime /early morning crowing) in a short dog crate that way they cant stretch up and can not crow if they cant stretch their necks up? Not sure if it is true but sound safer than a no crow collar

Much less, if they are busy doing other early chores. Is the difference between sing and pause or non-stop singing.

If there are two roosters you ned to remove one or split the flock to stop the singing competition.
Quack. ;)

Boys don't crow at 3:30 am because they are competing with each other. I had it happen with only one boy. And when I remove one boy it makes the others crow more for a bit. My boys will crow at all kinds of stuff. And I think it varies through out the day what their reason is.

Turning on, even a small bulb could cause other behavioral issues among the whole the flock in my opinion. Though I do think that was a creative type solution. Way to think outside the box! :thumbsup

Cockerels may stay buddies as they mature... or not. One things for sure, their attitude changes when hormones surge. Young boys will still go through many changes.

My neighbors are FAR from angels! But they are far enough away that it isn't an issue.

Her roosters live inside the house. They are rooster buddies. They are the only birds of the chicken variety at her home.
Useful information. :thumbsup

New thought processing, brain storming... :pop
