Rooster crow has changed .....

My Splash Silkie rooster's (almost 2yr old) crow isn't as vibrant and it has different sounds now.. he seems to be doing ok otherwise. It's been cold and wet here, so maybe he's tired of the weather .... . anyone have experience? is this a sign of illness? thankx

Just do a basic checkup on him. Make sure his crop is emptying overnight, look inside his beak for any lesions or canker and of course look for lice/mites.
Ensure your coop has adequate ventilation as well.
