I was signing up for the pasco county fair in dade city, florida and i saw that there was a rooster crowing contest. can u really train them to crow on command? if so how?when? i think he's got a great vocal range...

You and a number of your closest friends put your roosters in a seperate coop in the show. It usually is 1-$5 a bird to enter. Someone and a core of others will watch a clock and the rooster that crows the most in that lenght of time wins the prize. At our show it is half the pot. It generally is a fund raiser, at a fair they probally have less rules.

I know in our chicken yard, when one roo starts crowning, they all start. It's like they each want to get in the last word..

You don't train them, it is just luck of the draw. If you have a rooster that likes to crow, use him. It is all just for fun.

You can borrow mine, he won't shut up!
