Rooster crowing with his beak closed?

Hi! New here but have been reading the forums for a few years. Usually I can find the answers I need pretty easily but this one is a little tricky. I've got a buff Orpington rooster who has just recently started crowing in the past few days. You can barely hear him even when you are outside and this morning I saw why. He is crowing with his mouth closed. He makes the noise in his throat and all his mannerisms while crowing are normal. He just doesn't open his mouth. He eats and drinks just fine, regulates the flock as he should and seems healthy. I just can't find anything online about why he is doing it. It looks and sounds so weird!

He is young, so maybe he will figure it out. I was just wondering if anyone had any insight or experience with this. Thank you in advance!
