Rooster dance

The young roosters you don't need should be sold, eaten or given away. Keep what you need for your flock and get rid of any you can't break from being human aggressive. Backing up or running or ignoring bad behavior only reinforces more bad behavior. If you don't let your rooster get by with human aggression he''ll learn to respect you and will make a good rooster. The time to teach him to submit is now not after he's attacked you.
Well I have this one up for sale...advertising him, lowered price and not askin much.
He acted like an insane ape tonight for no reason. He bit my ankle. I held him down and he acted like he had rabies or something. I'm not sure all of em can be made good.
And I've been workin with this one from day 1...and even more so since he attacked my friends husband...not to mention the hold he put him in right then.

Save someone the headache of trying to tame one you raised yourself and can't tame. All of them can't be saved sorry.

I have far too many roosters in this new batch of chicks and I'm used to culling and processing. But my goal is to hold off until they reach at least 6 months so I can determine which are the best ones to keep around. I like having 2 roosters for 20 hens. So I'm probably going to do some sort of bachelor pen and see how they do.

I "adopted" a rooster with bumble foot ( kept with pigs and chickens in the same fence) Its taken months of epsom salt baths to heal his feet & also on antibiotics too).He used to be mean but now he eats out of my hand .Roosters can be very appreciative of good care like anything else.
