That's kinda like a Grizzly bear backing away from a little wolverine. The big one could easily stomp the poo outta the little one, but he will get hurt in the process. Just not worth it. But absolutely hilarious for us.
I had always believed, erroneously, that roosters always fought to the death. Watching my two roos is pretty funny as well. Its a bigger, older rooster putting the slightly smaller and younger one in his place. I have so much fun watching the cockerel imitate the rooster in virtually everything. Vic, the rooster, even lets the cockerel do most of the very early morning crowing up until about 7am when he asserts himself. The girls all respond to Vic, and scream bloody murder when Roo, the cockerel, tries to take a turn. That's as bad as I have seen it get. Vic will grab him by the back of his neck and drag him off if he catches him in the act. lol
I have seen him chasing Roo around in circles...
Very good post and pics.
