Hopefully this will help it drain some while you are gone.OK, I did clean a bunch of gunk out. I couldn't get it all. It did start bleeding... And you were right, he was quite distressed so I'm certain it was hurting him a lot. When I put him back in the cage, he acted dead. Not moving...eyes closed, mouth open. Poor fella.
I did put some triple antibiotic in and all around his ear. I also gave him some Amoxicillan.
Hopefully that will get him through until I get home on Thursday afternoon.

Yes, ear canal.That's his ear?
Yep... I noticed he was tilting his head like a toddler with an ear infection but I couldn't see anything when I first put him in an outdoor quarantine pen. I realized after 3 days he was getting worse but I thought it was the wry neck/neurological issue. That's his ear?
Hopefully this will help it drain some while you are gone.
I figured it may stress him. Electrolytes for a couple of days while you are gone would be good if your family can mix some up for him. If you don't have that, a little sugar water (1tsp per 1cup water) to give him a little boost to stabilize his glucose levels.
I meant to find the video last night, but forgot! It would be nice to find some of those "cupped" tools that he has, maybe on amazon. I need to look.

That video needs a warning label...
Yeah, that's not going to be fun. In fact, I might seriously puke trying to do it. But I can't just let him suffer so I guess I'll just put some vicks vapor rub in my nose and suck it up.
On the bright side, I think I have some of those scooped tools which will help.
I'm glad you're back and thank you for the update.I am back from my business trip. Checked on my poor roo. He doesn't look any better but also not any worse. His ear had packed full of solidified pus again like I'd never cleaned it.
I cleaned more out of it again. Went a little faster this time as it was softer. I didn't get it all simply because he was really distressed and it began to bleed again.
I cleaned it as best I could with peroxide and filled it with triple antibiotic ointment. Gave him some Amoxicillan and put him back in the cage for a while.
I'll try to clean it some more later this evening. His head is still very twisted.
