How old does a cockerel need to be to be fertile? Does it vary much with different breeds?
How about bantams?

Their hormones kick in somewhere around 14 weeks. I'm sure it does vary some with breeds, just as POL does. There are other factors involved in whether he is fertilizing eggs, too. In the last analysis, you have to crack an egg and look for the bullseye to be certain.
