Rooster frustrations !!!

Probably not, the other hens will be much more unforgiving but not him. Hens are going to be nasty to "new" girls reguardless. But he would be fine in a solo coop, he can't get along anyway. Just keep an eye on things and make sure the other hens aren't too hard on her.

It's late and I dont have anything to put him in. What would happen if I kept him in the cage coop and brought the 2 girls out? Will the nicer rooster attack because shes hurt and acting funny?

I will ,thankyou ,I always bother my friend who s mother owns chickens and she gets sick of me lol. I never knew I'd get so attached to my chickens ,I'm a dog lover ,well all animals but didn't think I'd be so consumed worrying about my chickens as much as I do.♡

Often folks with a bad roo will let him free range permanently until someone or thing takes him

I will ,thankyou ,I always bother my friend who s mother owns chickens and she gets sick of me lol. I never knew I'd get so attached to my chickens ,I'm a dog lover ,well all animals but didn't think I'd be so consumed worrying about my chickens as much as I do.♡

I'm the same as you, I have never owned chickens until 3 years ago, im a dog lover, well just all around animal lover , but when a huge beautiful golden rooster randomly showed up in our yard. I completely went nuts for him, I totally shocked myself with how much I adored a chicken lol. I got him two hens and he turned into a different rooster. Now he attacks me and I have to keep a broom between him and I when I let him out. I still adore him and worry about him. He is nice to his girls though. Just not me I love my chickens!

I hear ya my Scotch ,I nursed him back to health after the other rooster attacked him. He now chases me to . I've been told hes trying dominate me like I'm suppose to be his woman to lol. I hate it but still love him,but I always watch over my shoulder.
But the General the other rooster I hate him and he hates me. Locked up but hes going as soon as I can find him a home. Never wanted roosters ,only chickens 4 eggs. But Scotch can stay hes my Butter Scotch.
