rooster getting beard ripped off

Is there anything i can do for my poor guy besides getting him cleaned up? Will his beard grow back, if so how long does that usually take.

Is he bleeding? If the feathers were just plucked out, they should grow back, although it may be a while.

No He is not bleeding Now . just had dried blood on him. How long does it usually take to grow back? It seems to be embarrassed by not having it

I'm not sure. It might not be until his next molt. Maybe someone else can weigh in here?
At any rate, he will probably get used to not having it for a while. Did he lose it in a fight with another roo? When my roos fight, the loser will lay low for a while, not because he's embarrassed but more because he's been taken down a peg in the social order I think.

Some hen is plucking his feathers. I think it is pretty safe to assume she will continue to do so. As fast as they grow back she will remove them.

That's weird. It doesn't sound life threatening as long as he doesn't get an infection, but I'm sure it's very annoying for him. Hopefully she'll quit doing that.

A hen isnt doing it. He got into a fight yesterday and it was ripped off...my other roo got out his coop/run and i had this guy free ranginh with his flock. Well they met (i was asleep, i work 3rd shift)and now the one that got out ia missing. I was kinda thinking he won since the other one is still missing. (I think he might of been killed).
