Rooster had all of his tail feathers ripped out by hens

So I came home today, and my poor little rooster is bleeding because the hens won’t stop picking on him and tearing out his feathers. (He’s a white crested black polish) The hens are mostly full size hens. They’ve been fine for 3 months since we got him. Now all of a sudden, they are picking at the top of his head and his tail. He’s a bloody mess, so I removed him and put him by himself. I sprayed veterycin on him for now. What else should I do? Thanks in advance.

I do only have one polish hen. The other 18 are standard size but he hasn’t had any issues breeding with them.
