That's what healing frostbite looks like. It's hideously ugly. The Vetericyn should keep infection from setting in. Pretty soon, the pus areas will scab over and dry up. Continue the aspirin if he looks as if he's experiencing pain.

OK, it has been 12 days, he is standing up straight, eating and drinking by himself and the wattles are drying up where they've turned black. It is a sunny 28* day with a 10 MPH wind. Do you think it is OK to let him sit outside with his girls for the afternoon as long as theyre not pecking him?

As long as it's sunny and the air is circulating to prevent moisture from condensing on surfaces (frost), he should be fine to enjoy an outing with the girls.
